Anahita Champion: Twin Cities Mobile Mommy

You have worked on an incredible amount of projects over the years, being a talk show host, emcee, event correspondent, Mrs. MN pageant and more. What sparked your desire to start down this new business venture with TC Mobile Mommy and can you explain what your business is about?

In 2016 my daughter was born and I was running my PR business, working for myself, which I ran for 7 years.  Many times the events were at night and on the weekends. After my daughter was born it became overwhelming taking care of her and running my the business. I was stressed out with work and I basically needed an answer for cloning myself and I thought the next best thing was to hire another person to help me. That is how TCMM was born. I ran both businesses together for a while and that got to be too much and I decided to close all of my business. In 2018, I decided to run for the Mrs MN pagent and through the pageant, and reflecting on my experiences, I decided that I missed Mobile Mommy and wanted to get back into it.

What was Mobile Mommy like before the closure?

The concept hasn’t changed. We try to bring a solution for busy families. We want to reduce their stress. The reason TCMM didn’t work originally is bacause I wanted to grow the business too quickly and I didn’t have the proper mindset. I had a couple clients here and there, but for some reason it didn’t feel right at the time. I didn’t feel like I earned the title. I felt like an imposter. That was 3 years ago. Now we have a totally different vibe and plan.

What has changed, what is your new goal, and what do you now hope to achieve?

I had to really needed time to reflect. I realized I could do difficult things by putting myself through the pageant competition and that I needed to change my perspective. I started leaning more into motherhood and things that were not forced. I didn’t want to force myself to be in a mold. I had to live and I had to give myself time to grow. Motherhood changes you and your experience a lot. I needed to figure out what I needed as a mom and what I would want out of this service. The 5 pillars come from my core values.

You have a variety of bundled packages to choose from as services and my absolute favorite is the new baby bundle.  What other bundles and services do you offer?

I have customized a few packages, new baby, the ultimate tidy, organizing. I would like to have something available for people that need help after surgery or a wellness package. If you purchase a 4 hour bundle, we can customize it. People actually got overwhelmed with more bundle choices.

How do you sort through what a mom or family might need? How do I decide how to use my 4 hours?

There are a lot of things on our minds. I help people think through what is the most daughting and pressing thing on your mind. What is the most urgent and time consuming? What do you need to to on your own and what can I do without you? Clients either have a list or I look in their space and try to help them figure out what is causing them so much stress. I talk them through it, but it is up to the client to let me know.

We all need to stop comparing ourselves to others. We are all struggling with different things, we don’t have to be perfect all the time.  When I started leaning into what felt right to me, the comparison went away.

How can we over come comparison, expectations and make life more balanced? I think what helps women thrive is to follow their own guts and what feels right for them and their families. When we try to do things to appease others, that is when things go astray. I have seen so many of my friends and their families shine with they follow what is right for them and not other people. Do what you truly know and think is best with your family.

How can I manage my time better and get better organized? Ways to tackle your to-do list

  1. Get everything on paper-brain dump all your thoughts, ideas, to-dos
  2. Break up the list into: Automate, delegate, and eliminate
  3. Top 3 tasks for this week only. Can add 3 more when those are complete

Make a sucesses bucket. Write down things you were successful with each day. Give yourself praise for the things you have accomplished. Read them all at the end of the year.
