In episode 45 Emily shares how her life transformed in 2017, how she began to get involved in fair trade, traveled the world to view different artisans, and eventually opened her own business. Emily is passionate about fair trade products and the powerful impact it can have on communities around the world. She provides tips on how to get started, what to look for, and how you can shop for ethically-sourced consumer goods on a budget.

Bio: Emily started She is Love initially as a mental health blog in March of 2020, but after leaving her job, her mentor with Twin Engine Coffee in Nicaragua easily swayed her into turning it into her dream of starting her own fair trade shop. The primary goal of She is Love is to support Twin Engine Coffee from the United States, and grow the brand in Minnesota, as one of the Co-Founders is originally from Minneapolis. The shop also supports other fair trade brands and local artisan groups to help build a healthier global community. Emily has been active in the local fair trade community since early 2017 following an incident involving human trafficking in her small Wisconsin town, as well as being a vocal advocate for ethical fashion and consumerism.
